The Dental Innovative Design LLC presents a disposable, high volume dental suction tip with a unique atraumatic design developed by Dr. Igor Roshkovan DDS, MSc, MSc.
Providing innovative American design and engineering ideas for dental communities worldwide. Our team of engineers led by Dr. Roshkovan in collaboration with scientists from Lund University in Sweden, developed a novel anti-clog dental suction tip using modern technology to enhance dental surgery efficiency.

This innovative high volume dental suction tip (HVE) with apertures covered by vent shells delivers up to 30% improved suction performance and impact force.
In comparison with similar suction tips without the plurality of apertures or with only of few of them currently used in dentistry, this tip minimizes clogging during surgical aspiration.
The frequency of obstruction by saliva, blood or surgical debris, aerosols, the time loss due to frequency of replacement of the dental suction tip during surgery, minimizing intraoperative blood loss, and the satisfaction rate scores by the oral surgeons are some factors that were compared between the innovative dental suction tip and the regular suction tip.
Comparisons were initially made in laboratory experiments using a simulant liquid and later then during surgery of insertion dental implants.
Characteristics:
- This innovative dental high volume evacuator has unique round shape apertures covered by vent shells designed with upgraded capability of capturing escaping saliva and surgical debris during dental operation, as well as its total mass flow capability.
- The Cheese Grater Dental High Volume Suction Tip also has a forward-facing end with a soft silicone rubber nozzle (reduces pain and discomfort to patients when coming in contact with soft tissue compared to other hard plastic suctions)
- Our patented unique design eliminates traumatic backflow while preventing patient’s tongue coming in contact with soft tissue.
- Made with disposable high-density Polylactic biopolymer. It is a thermoplastic biopolymer developed from renewable organic sources like corn starch and sugar cane (non-latex). This biopolymer is a low carbon and does not contain genetic material of any kind. Bio-based polymers will transform into natural like material during biodegratable process; for example water, composite, and carbon dioxide. Moreover, biopolymers mitigate pollution risks associated with plastic manufacturing and disposal. They do not release toxic chemicals and greenhouse gases during the decomposition process and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. By using this biopolymer based Cheese Grater High Volume Dental Suction Tip, dentists reduce our dependence on petroleum-based plastics.
